MyPortfolioRebalancer — a convenient way to keep your ETF portfolio in a right balance
This is not my typical tech story, but rather an opportunity to share the information about the product that I’ve created in the past 6 months.

Nowadays more and more people are interested in the investments to protect their savings from inflation and negative banks stakes on savings accounts. Some invest into shares or crypto and some prefer ETFs as a more safe approach to work your way towards retirement. As many of these people, I have also become an amateur investor, created my own portfolio and started to move forward with the investments. There are many resources and information on the internet about how to keep your portfolio in balance and how to do the rebalancing, but I haven’t found any decent tools that help with that and are reasonable for the small investors like myself.
Many people are either using excel sheets or some paid services to do the rebalancing of their portfolios. Frankly speaking, none of these solutions were very appealing to me — Excel sheet files still require a lot of manual work and lack automation, and paid services are, well … paid. Being a software developer myself, I’ve immediately started to think how to optimize and make the process simpler and more user-friendly. This is how the MyPortfolioRebalancer.com tool was created.
The tool is completely free for use and is helping with a lot in the rebalancing routine. Deciding on how many items of every particular asset in your portfolio you have to buy is automated — just enter the amount of cash and everything will be calculated for you. There are more than 8000 different ETFs and the information about them is also updated every 24 hours. You don’t need to update the prices manually in the Excel sheet to keep your portfolio numbers up to date. Adding items to the portfolio is also not a problem — just start typing the name or isin of the ETF and select the one from autosuggestion.
What about the privacy and data protection you ask? I realize that financial data is rather very private; therefore, all the data in the database is encrypted and is only available to you as a user. There are some more questions and answers in the FAQ section of MyPortfolioRebalancer.
I am working on the project in my free time and here’s the roadmap and some plans for the future. The tool is still in the early phase, so the feedback and any bugs that may be found are very welcome at info@myportfoliorebalancer.com
If you think it’s something that may be useful to you or make your life as investor a little easier, feel free to check the tool at https://www.myportfoliorebalancer.com
